Grantshouse Community Council is a wholly volunteer, self-governing local body representing the villages and parishes of Grantshouse, Houndwood and Harelawside in the Scottish Borders.
We act as a bridge between the community and local authorities, advocating for local issues, distributing community funding, and preserving the unique character and heritage of our rural area.
Community councils thrive on active participation from residents. Whether you want to join the council, attend meetings, or simply stay informed about local developments, we welcome your involvement. Together, we can shape the future of our community.
The council meets regularly to discuss matters affecting our villages, from planning applications to environmental concerns. We liaise with Scottish Borders Council, manage community grants, and support local initiatives that enhance quality of life for all residents.
We also maintain this digital portal to ensure transparency and easy access to meeting minutes, funding information, and community news.
