Grantshouse Community Council

Grantshouse Community Council is a voluntary organisation set up by statute by the Local Authority and run by local residents to act on behalf of its area. It is the most local tier of elected representation and plays an important role in local democracy.

As with all Community Councils, Grantshouse Community Council is comprised of people who care about their community and want to make it a better place to live. There are many ways to do this, and its primary role is in representing the community to other organisations such as Scottish Borders Council, Transport Scotland, NHS, etc.
